The vineyard is solely dedicated to the variety Cabernet Sauvignon, the king of red wine.  The vineyard was planted in 1996 with Bordeaux clones.  Currently annual yield is between 150 and 300 cases of wine. The vineyard is meticulously hand maintained by a small staff under the direction of the Schmitz family.  

The 2016 San Francisco International Wine Competition (SFIWC) just concluded, and we won GOLD! Our Malibu Solstice 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, Private Reserve, Los Angeles County, USA took home this wonderful honor.  The SFIWC is the largest international wine Competition in the U.S., and this year, those judges tasted over 4,600 entries.
