Malibu Solstice Vineyards

Our Vineyard

The vineyard is solely dedicated to the variety Cabernet Sauvignon, the king of red wine.  The vineyard was planted in 1996 with Bordeaux clones.  The annual yield is between 150 and 300 cases of wine. The vineyard is meticulously hand maintained by a small staff under the direction of the Schmitz family.

Malibu Solstice took home gold from the 2016 San Francisco International Wine Competition (SFIWC). Specifically our Malibu Solstice 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, Private Reserve took home this wonderful honor.  The SFIWC is the largest international wine Competition in the U.S., and in 2016, those judges tasted over 4,600 entries.

The wines, and one of our local collaborators, Cornell Winery, were featured in LA Weekly. Take a look!
